Description

The Coachi Puppy & Mini 5 m waterproof training lead gives puppies from 8 weeks old and small dogs more space to explore, while maintaining a reassuring connection during outings. It differs from a short leash by its length, which allows the dog to move away, sniff, observe its surroundings and return to you in a controlled environment.

It is particularly useful for initial recalls, park walks, trail outings, beach moments, or public places where you want to allow more freedom while maintaining gentle control. The dog can gradually learn to come back, stay connected to its human, and gain confidence in new environments.

This training lead is suitable for puppies, small dogs, new dogs in the household, and more nervous dogs who need calm guidance. Its Puppy & Mini format is lightweight and easy to handle, with a length adapted for outdoor training and supervised walks.

At 5 meters long, the training lead gives the dog a real range of movement. It can walk ahead of you, explore a scent, slow down, come back, then go again, all while remaining connected. This measured freedom is valuable for working on recall and socialization without rushing the stages.

Its waterproof material absorbs less water and dirt than a classic fabric leash. It remains more pleasant to hold when the ground is wet, in wet grass, mud, sand, or rain. After the walk, it can be rinsed with water or cleaned with a damp cloth.

Its smooth end limits snags when the leash slides on the ground. It follows the dog's movements more easily and remains simple to handle, even when the puppy or small dog often changes direction.

For logistical reasons, this item may be shipped separately from the rest of your order, without impacting shipping times.

User guide

Attach the long line to a well-fitting harness or a flat collar appropriate for your dog's size. For a puppy or small dog, start in a quiet place with few distractions so they can gradually get used to the feel of the long line.

Allow your dog to walk, sniff, and explore within a controlled perimeter, while keeping the long line in your hand. The 5-meter length offers more freedom than a short leash, while maintaining a physical connection with your dog during outings.

To work on recall, move a short distance away, call your dog by name, then encourage them to come back to you. When they return, praise and reward them to associate coming back with a positive experience. Repeat in short sessions, without trying to go too fast.

During use, maintain a loose grip and ensure the long line does not wrap around paws, legs, or an obstacle. It is suitable for supervised walks, parks, trails, public places, and initial outdoor training.

After an outing in the rain, wet grass, mud, or sand, rinse the long line with clear water or wipe it with a damp cloth. Let it dry before storing it.

Regularly check the condition of the long line, the snap hook, and the attachment points. In case of visible wear, replace the accessory to maintain safe use.
